The History of Sirsi Valves
SIRSI was founded in Turin on April 2, 1927, with a share capital of 1,150,000 lire, a significant amount at the time, divided equally between the two founding partners: Leonardo Cerini, who was the first president, and SNIA VISCOSA, a prestigious company founded by the well-known financier Riccardo Gualino, the largest producer of rayon in Italy and linked to the major British and American companies in the sector.
In 1939, inspired by the “Hoffmann tweezers,” a laboratory tool, SIRSI began studying a pinch valve.
At the end of the war, with the resumption of all activities, SIRSI developed a series of sleeve and diaphragm valves through mass production that continues today.
It is estimated that over 1 million SIRSI valves are installed worldwide in a wide range of industrial sectors: ceramics, marble, cement, paper, chemicals, petrochemicals, oil & gas, food, mining, and in all wastewater and industrial sludge management plants.
They are renowned for their strength, durability, and reliability in the most demanding applications.
Production remains entirely in Italy, using Italian and European components.
